HFC-227ea

(a.k.a. FM-200, FE-227)
HFC-227ea is a rapid-extinguishing agent which offers the most versatile clean agent suppression capabilities available for facilities that cannot afford fire-related business interruptions.
HFC-227ea systems are active on fire, but safe for people and it leaves no residue on sensitive equipment. HFC-227ea is an environmentally-friendly agent and has no EPA use restrictions. HFC-227ea systems provide maximum protection with minimum hardware, require minimal space and are extremely cost effective. HFC-227ea systems are UL Listed and FM Approved.

HFC-227ea systems include:
  1. Detection
  2. Control Unit
  3. Suppression Agent

FE-13

FE-13 systems are designed for harsh and demanding applications; low temperature environments (locomotives, mining equipment, unheated storage), high ceiling structures (warehouses) or hazards requiring high concentration inerting (flammable liquid storage, turbine enclosures). FE-13 is typically applied in concentration ranges of 16-20% and since it has a NOAEL level of 30% this makes it ideal for protection of occupied spaces.

FE-13 can handle low temperature environments because of its low boiling point and high vapor pressure, which means it provides effective suppression where other agents fail. Due to its unique physical properties it can be discharged through a minimum of nozzles at ceiling heights up to 25 feet. FE-13 is clean, safe and fast acting, with no EPA use restrictions. FE-13 systems are UL listed and FM approved.

FE-13 systems include:
  • Detection
  • Control Unit
  • Suppression Agent

FE-25
(a.k.a ECARO-25)

FE-25, just like HFC-227, is active on fire, but safe for people and it leaves no residue on sensitive equipment, but it also carries some unique characteristics. FE-25 typically requires about 20% less agent per cubic foot/meter than HFC-227 systems. Its physical properties allow you to utilize small diameter piping over long distances, often simplify design. In total, this can lower your installation cost and overall system expense.

Drop-in Halon Replacement: In many situations, FE-25 can be used as a direct Halon replacement, allowing you to use your existing piping network. Just replace nozzles and containers. This is obviously very cost effective along with a real time saver.

HFC-25 systems include:
  1. Detection
  2. Control Unit
  3. Suppression Agent

Novec 1230
(3M's Fire Protection Fluid)

Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid could be described as the cleanest, of the clean agent suppression products. With a zero ozone depletion potential, extremely low global warming potential and short atmospheric lifetime, Novec 1230 fluid offers a viable, long-term sustainable technology for special hazards fire protection.

Because of its use concentration is much lower than its No Observable Adverse Effects Level (NOAEL), Novec offers the widest margin of safety of any other clean agent on the market today.

Novec 1230 fluid is a fluoroketone – a 3M technology. Extinguishing via its cooling effect, Novec 1230 fluid works as a gas, yet it is a liquid at room temperature. Because it is not stored or shipped from the factory in pressurized cylinders, it is easy to handle and charge. It is a highly efficient extinguishant that can be used for both streaming and flooding applications.

Novec 1230 systems include:
  1. Detection
  2. Control Unit
  3. Suppression Agent
