The future looks promising with the rise of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and hydrogen fuel cells on the horizon. Exciting advancements in firefighting mediums, tools, and fire and life safety systems are on the horizon. The transition from lead acid batteries to lithium ion is a common trend, with some facilities reconsidering a return to lead acid for specific needs. In particular, data centers contemplating a switch from lead acid to lithium ion batteries should carefully consider the implications.

What should we be doing for data centers when they want to change out the lead acid batteries to lithium ion?
