WHI-FOG is the world’s leading water mist fire protection technology developed
by the Marioff Corporation. |
A fire protection technology which is fast, efficient, and totally safe for
people and the environment, as well as giving virtually cost-free clean-up or
recharging.
How
does HI-FOG work?
Conventional sprinklers and water spray systems fight fires by the inefficient
process of wetting or cooling combustible surfaces. But HI-FOG, a high pressure
mist technology, uses water in the most efficient way, extinguishing by using
three primary mechanisms described below. The combination of the right drop
size distribution and high
What are the benefits in using HI-FOG?
Little to no water damage: HI-FOG systems are at least as efficient as
fire suppression, but their water discharge is minimal, so the damage to
facilities or equipment is minimized, and clean-up time and costs are
negligible.
Smaller
Pipes: Piping is much smaller, making installation easy and fast,
particularly on retrofits. HI-FOG uses just pure water and is therefore totally
safe for people, equipment and the environment.
Very small recharge cost: Gaseous systems are unsuitable for many risk
areas because of the difficulty of guaranteeing enclosure integrity, high
recharge costs and the personnel and environmental safety issue
